Not just flash fiction?

PURITY will be released as a print on demand in the near future.
So you’ll be able to hold that sucker in your actual hands.
That is all.
WOO!
Not just flash fiction?

That is all.
WOO!
Wait, how much?
Tell yo neighbours, tell yo friends.
wow.
But don’t fear! I have another contest starting today!
Head on over to my Facebook page:
And you’ll find this photo. That’s the contest entry. All you have to do is like and comment on the photo to be entered. Sharing gets you a second entry. The winner will receive a FREE copy of my novel PURITY from Smashwords in the format of their choice. My only stipulation is that they review when they’re finished reading.
The winner will be drawn at random in a week, so get you entries in and good luck!
Guys, I’m nearly at 100 followers on Twitter!
Once I’m there, I’m offering a free copy of my novel, PURITY, to whomever is follower 100!
I know, I know, shut up, Jessica. This will be the last PURITY related post for a little while, I promise probably.
In any case, this is news that warrants a new post.
And,
So all this means that PURITY is pretty well finished, save for maybe a few updates here or there if I find any outstanding typos or mishaps while reading through once more myself. Maybe I’ll put a teaser or two up in the future, once she’s had time to hang out online and make herself known.
I’m so proud that I’ve been able to do this, to achieve my childhood dream of publishing a book for everyone to read. And I’m so thankful for those people who have made it possible for me. I’m truly blessed to have this opportunity.
And I hope you all enjoy Purity as much as I do.
Not to keep tooting my own horn though I love it, but here’s yet another post about PURITY. I’m sure everyone wants me to shut up at this point, but hush, I have words.
PURITY is now (finally) for sale at Smashwords, though we’re still waiting shipment to their premium catalogue, so it isn’t ready for Apple, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, etc, just yet. Now that I know what I’m doing when it comes to Smashwords formatting (which is a lot more difficult than formatting for Amazone, let me tell you), it won’t take nearly so long to get the next book I publish out into the vast world of the interwebz.
I’ll keep you all informed as to when the premium catalogue gets accepted and shipped and actually in the webstores.
And don’t forget either,
DISCLAIMER: The formatting for Smashwords forced me to change some of the accented words that gave PURITY some of its Old World flair. I use a few foreign words and phrases, because the majority of the story takes place in Romania. These foreign accents didn’t translate well into the Smashwords format, and I was forced to change them. For example: Ţepeş became Tepes, strigoi morţi became strigoi morti, Braşov became Brasov. It takes the charm out of it for me. That all being said, if you want to keep that aforementioned Old World flair, purchase the AMAZON copy. If you don’t give a single fuck, by all means, go ahead to SMASHWORDS.
I’ll have a real post soon enough, I promise. A hairventure, too, most likely!
Caitlyn is a bright, headstrong girl with a twisted past she unconsciously smothers into lost memories. When she is only eleven, she is kidnapped by her father’s business rival in hopes of giving up much-needed information. Refusing to talk – and knowing nothing of use – she is placed in the Silver Room, a desperate man’s sinister torture chamber, where she meets the monsters who inhabit her nightmares.
A lifetime later, on an innocent summer vacation to her paternal relatives in Romania’s notorious province Transylvania, these memories return in a flood when she meets strangers with an aversion to sunlight and bloodstained smiles.
As prisoner to a condemned prince, Caitlyn becomes privy to an underground world where myth and nightmare are all too real, and where at every turn, a new threat emerges.
With dogs waging war and men bent on bloodshed, Caitlyn must team up with the unlikeliest of people to save what is theirs, while standing on the precipice of destruction.
Are vampires your thing? Werewolves? Dark magic, mythology, and a world only dreamed of? Heroines out of their element, brooding heroes, and allies who toe the line; blood and bones and an internal struggle; business and politics, scheming and plotting – Purity has all this and more.
Postscript: Final formatting for Apple Books, Smashwords, and Barnes & Noble will happen over the weekend, and she will be for sale in those places sometime next week. Keep your eyes peeled for further updates!
I’m so excited I can barely function right now 😀
I missed it. Like some kind of forgetful man.
Yesterday was my second anniversary blogging here. How time flies when you’re having fun, right?
In writing news, Purity is just finishing up the very last dredges of editing and will be published at the end of the month, as per my last post. Abomination is just about 150 000 words in, and aside from a writer’s block I’m currently weathering, still going strong. I planned out the next few chapters (which is terribly rare for me) and it looks as though it’s going to very easily overcome Changeling’s 180 000+ word count that being said, Changeling could have easily gone longer, but I thought I should probably end it at some point. The Of the Arbour rewrite is about 17 000 words in and things are really kicking off. So things are happening, albeit a little slowly. Purity is my first priority right now, naturally.
What better way to celebrate an anniversary than with a publication?
A tentative but less tentative than before release date for PURITY has been decided upon:
A week or so before Halloween, Purity will be released and available on AMAZON. At a later date will come Apple Books and Barnes & Noble admittedly because I am fresh and new at this self-publishing thing and don’t want to overwhelm myself. Judge me not.
I am eternally blessed to be able to show my passion to the world. Though, if I’m going to be perfectly honest, I’m a very odd mixture of terrified and over-the-moon excited to do this. Maybe because I’m still technically editing her. But no matter.
